Frequently asked questions

Can't find your answer? Email us at support@wedc.app.

What's included in my WEDC membership?
Your membership gives you access to the full WEDC content library: educational tutorials and configuration guides, downloadable software utility applications, and monthly cloud and self-hosted configuration bundles. The exact set of resources depends on your tier — Personal, Pro, or Team. See the Pricing page for a full feature breakdown.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the customer portal managed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access through the date you've already paid for. No cancellation fees.
Is content updated regularly?
Yes. New educational content drops every week. Pro and Team members receive a monthly configuration bundle (Terraform modules, Ansible playbooks, Docker Compose stacks) and early access to new utility application releases. The library grows continuously — no content is removed after publication.
Do you support self-hosted infrastructures?
Self-hosted infrastructure is the core focus of WEDC. The configuration guides specifically target setups where you own and operate your own hardware or VPS — not managed cloud services. Topics include home-lab networking, Kubernetes on bare metal, self-hosted backup systems, container security, and Linux fleet management.
How are the downloadable utility applications delivered?
Utility applications are distributed as pre-built binaries for Linux (x86-64 and ARM64), macOS, and Windows. Each release is accompanied by a SHA256 checksum and a GPG signature for verification. Source code is included with every release for transparency. Downloads are available immediately from your member dashboard after account activation.
Can I use the tools and configurations on multiple devices?
Yes. Pro and Team members have access to multi-device tools and configurations. Personal members can install and use the included utility application on any number of their own devices — the per-month download limit refers to new utility releases, not installation instances.
Can I share access with my team?
The Team plan includes 5 seats, letting you share full membership access with colleagues or collaborators. Each seat gets its own account and download access. Team members also get access to a shared configuration template workspace. For teams larger than 5, contact support@wedc.app for custom pricing.
How is my data protected?
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the membership: your email address, payment information (processed by Paddle — we never see your card details), and basic usage metadata. All traffic is encrypted with TLS. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Who processes my payment?
Billing is handled by Paddle.com Inc., our authorized Merchant of Record. Paddle manages payment processing, tax calculation, and subscription management. When you subscribe, you'll receive receipts and invoices from Paddle. For billing questions, you can contact Paddle's support directly or reach us at support@wedc.app.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. We offer a 14-day refund window for new subscriptions. If you're not satisfied within the first 14 days of your initial subscription, contact support@wedc.app with your order number and we'll process a full refund. After the 14-day window, we do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods. See our Refund Policy for full details.
What operating systems are supported?
Our utility applications support Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Arch, and most major distributions), macOS (12+), and Windows 10/11. Configuration guides are primarily Linux-focused (Debian and Ubuntu LTS), with notes for macOS where relevant. Container-based configurations (Docker, Kubernetes) run on any platform that supports the container runtime.
Is WEDC content suitable for beginners?
WEDC is designed for developers and technical users who already have foundational Linux and networking knowledge. If you're comfortable with the command line, have set up a server or VM before, and understand basic networking concepts, you'll get immediate value from the content. Complete beginners may find some tutorials steep without external prerequisite reading.
How do I get support?
Email support@wedc.app. Personal members can expect a response within 48 hours. Pro members within 12 hours. Team members within 4 hours. For non-urgent questions, the member FAQ and community discussion forum (accessible after account activation) cover most common issues.
Are the configuration guides kept up to date?
Yes. Each configuration guide includes a 'Last verified' date and the versions of tools it was tested against. We review and update guides when major version changes in the underlying tools occur. Members are notified by email when a guide they've saved or downloaded is significantly revised.
